What level are you ?

Foundation
This is for young climbers starting out on their journey into climbing. The focus at this level is fun while negotiating ways to avoid all the potential dangers of being above ground level. Climbers will be progressing towards climbing single coloured routes. We expect people to remain in this level for several terms depending on age and ability. These sessions go for an hour.

Development Primary Skills (PS)
This is for younger climbers that have gained coach approval in safety and climbing terminology. Climbers at this level can demonstrate basic climbing techniques and are starting to solve problems by applying different techniques and combining  coach advise independently. Climbers will be mostly be following single colours and working up the grades. We expect people to remain in this level for several terms depending on age and ability. These sessions go for an hour.

Development Higher Skills (HS)
This is for older aged climbers starting out on their journey into climbing, and those progressing from Development primary skills with coach approval. The focus at this level is progression to top rope belaying skills and more advanced  climbing technique. Climbers will be mostly following single colours and working up the grades. We expect people to remain in this level for several terms depending on age and ability. These sessions go for an hour.

Intermediate
This is for climbers who have coach approval in safety and climbing technique and are consistently climbing grade 16 and above. People will need to be able to safely top rope belay. We expect people to remain in this level for several terms depending on age and ability. If you are interested in competing, let your coaches know when in this level. These sessions go for an hour.

Advanced
This is for climbers who have coach approval in safety and climbing technique and are consistently climbing above grade 18. This level is ideally suited to people who are more interested in outdoor climbing then indoor competition climbing. People at this level will need to have their own harness and climbing shoes. A big focus at this level will be learning how to lead climb and lead belay. Higher level climbing techniques and climbing fitness routines will be taught for lifelong enjoyment of this wonderful recreational activity. If you are interested in competing, let your coaches know when in this level. These sessions go for 1.5 hours

Competition
This is by invite only from coaches, so let your coaches know if you are interested in competing. The focus of this group is all aspects of competition climbing. Advanced techniques and fitness training routines as well as learning how to lead climb and lead belay.  People at this level will need to have their own harness and climbing shoes. You will be expected to be attending  two climbing sessions a week. These sessions go for 2 hours. Cost is $450 per term.

Availability and Booking
There are limited places for each level on each day. Preference  is given to returning members by opening up bookings two weeks before end of term. Last week of term we open to new members. You will need to pay a $40 deposit to confirm your spot next term. Please note at the moment we have a waiting list to get into some days, so please book early if you need a specific day as we can not overfill squads. All classes have a maximum of 8 climbers per coach and there are always two coaches.

You commit to the same day and time each week. If you miss a lesson you can do a make up class on any other day of the week of the same level at some stage before the end of term. (please email staff@gravityworx.com.au  on the day you are intending to do your makeup class so coaches are aware of you coming, include your name, level and day you normally come please.). Each Term follows the school term dates and is 10 weeks long, unless otherwise specified.
